Website hosting and access data
This website is hosted through Vercel. When you open a page, Vercel and its infrastructure providers process the connection data needed to deliver and protect the service. This may include your IP address, request date and time, requested address, referrer, browser and device information, and response status.
The purpose is reliable delivery, security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is operating a secure and usable website.
Vercel may use subprocessors or process data outside the European Economic Area. Where Chapter V GDPR applies, an approved transfer mechanism must be in place.
Email contact
If you contact us by email, we process your email address, message, attachments, and normal delivery metadata to answer your request. GMX provides the mailbox service.
For questions about a potential contract or lab partnership, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other inquiries, it is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is responding to people who contact the company.

The current website code does not set analytics or advertising cookies, use tracking pixels, load third party fonts, or embed external media. It therefore does not show a consent banner. If these features are added later, this notice and any required consent flow must be updated before they go live.
Recipients and retention
Website connection data may be available to Vercel and its subprocessors. Email data is available to GMX and any service involved in delivering the message. We disclose data to public bodies only where legally required.
Technical logs are kept only for the period configured with the hosting provider and as needed for security. Email inquiries are kept until the request is resolved, then deleted unless a contract, legal claim, or statutory retention rule requires longer storage.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in data protection law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for reasons arising from your situation.
You may complain to a data protection supervisory authority, especially in the country or German state where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred.
The website does not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
